IBEC (Industry representative body)
THE CHALLENGE
Pharmachemical Ireland (an IBEC affiliate) were expending too much time and resources collecting, collating, producing the annual Responsible Care report and returning data to its members, for update the subsequent year.

Errigal Fish (Fish processor and exporter)
THE CHALLENGE
The seasonal and perishable nature of their product, creates significant challenges to Errigal fish. Stock management has been problematic in the past.

Mitas provided a solution to track the movement of stocks between the different storage locations, which can be kept current with the minimum of data input.

DATravel (Travel business)
THE CHALLENGE
All clients files were being handled manually, making it slow to service valuable customers needs, and cumbrsome to get an accurate picture of the current finances of the business.

A back office system was developed, with a friendly UI. The system was implemented in distinct phases, reducing the risk to business. Electronic accounts reports and a security layer were implemented.

Celtic Helicopters (Transort and maintenance services)
THE CHALLENGE
Celtic must comply with stringent IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) regulations, and needed a system to manage and track maintenance parts, and keep cost control.
THE SOLUTION
Mitas agreed the requirements, and designed a system to track the parts usage, their value, and what parts needed to be re-ordered.

Klinga Pharma (Pharmaceutical manufacturer)
THE CHALLENGE
Klinga have won awards for their environmental management system, and wanted a tailored Safety Risk management system working on similar principles.
THE SOLUTION
Having looked at the EHS system, and the Mitas Risk Assessment module, a customised solution was defined, employing the best parts of both systems. Mitas designed the system from the ground up.

Astelles (Pharmaceutical manufacturer)

THE CHALLENGE
eZiWeb is a new content management website company, delivering real value in content websites. They required expertise to setup the company structure, support doucmentation, and value proposition

Mitas setup the website, and researched the underlying technology, recomending open source frameworks for eZiWeb to use. They also developed the marketing and support content for eZiWeb clients to access, and utilise.

The National Drug Treatment Centre.
THE CHALLENGE
The National Drug Treatment Centre needed a very secure solution to provide result reports to its clients, to replace its existing hard copy system, but which would not interfere in any way with their existing data recording system.

Mitas implemented a secure offsite, sqlserver based 2 tier solution, which replicated their data, and allowed users to access it securely, and retrieve results.

NGI (National Gallery of Ireland)

The gallery needed to improve their health and safety system, and imlement a electronic fire register, to help them with their compliance.

Dundalk Institute of Technology
THE CHALLENGE
The life long learning centre, for part time courses, needed to improve their enrollment system to be more customer focused and recognised the need to define the requirements before commencing tendering of the project.

Mitas provided the advice and worked to develop a detailed requirements document, based on current and future needs. This approach mimimises re-engineering costs during and after implementation.

At the end of the process, The department had a document encompassing their existing process, which has been streamlined, and included many features which would help them become more customer focused, to help retain existing students, and attract new ones. This document was used to tender for the work, ensuring a streamlined implementation, reducing the risk of over-run or exceeding budget
Oxis Consulting
THE CHALLENGE
Oxis, a startup company had a blueprint for a tool to assist HR managers and employees to understand their cultural fit within their organisation, and needed to build a cloud based solution to port the tool.
THE SOLUTION
Mitas drew up the detailed specification and data definitions, before tendering and subcontracting the coding. They then managed the implementation end to end.

Once the requirements were clearly defined, and database data structures completed, coding was implmented using offshore contract coders, keeping cost and risk to a mimimum

THE CHALLENGE
123.ie, while going through significant growth, required improved processing for some of their key accounting processes, and needed real short-term benefits, while they waited for a fully integrated business solution to be implemented in 2013.
THE SOLUTION
Mitas was subcontracted to carry out the bespoke work onsite, using VBA, and SQL server technologies
THE RESULT
Mitas quickly came to grips with the requirements, and completed the processes on time and within budged. Within a short time, several key processes were automated. This reduced the workload of key accounts staff. It also minimised the risk of error through better data integrity processes, to help manage the growth.
Diageo NI
THE CHALLENGE
Mitas was subcontracted on a large VBA financial project. Our role was to deliver the comprehensive reporting module.
THE SOLUTION
Over the course of 5 months onsite, the reporting solution was developed.
THE RESULT
The completed solution was integrated with the data capture environment to give a user friendly and flexible reporting tool. Microsoft access and excel were used for the reports. These reports are fully automated and are used to provide essential key business indicators to senior management.
Citiscapes
THE CHALLENGE
Citiscapes needed to replace a legacy front and back end system to enable more customer focused reporting and documentation. The system was required to reduce the time spent by staff in getting key information to customers and processing orders.
THE SOLUTION
Citiscapes choose a tailored version of travelMan, a mitas product.
THE RESULT
The soultion allows for a flexible document flow, producing integrated pdf and word documents for output, with a more user friendly and up to date user interface. Travelman also provides more reporting options, and flexible reporting solutions. Documents are generated into easy to access locations, to allow staff to find and manage quickly.
Instant Marketing
THE CHALLENGE
Instant Marketing, a provider of Fax marketing solutions, required an 'offline' data manipulation tool, to generate fax lists for processing.
THE SOLUTION
MS Access was selected as the tool, and a unified user interface was developed allowing the user to process and reuse jobs quickly

The new system facilitates the integration and cleaning of data for input, and ensures the integrity of data for processing.
Pharmachem Ireland
THE CHALLENGE
Pharmachem Ireland required an online to allow direct data capture by its members and to generate its annual responsible care report.
THE SOLUTION
Mitas developed a solution based on php/mysql, and migrated existing data into the new system. Access and Excel were used for reporting, linking directly to the online database.
THE RESULT
The new solution ensures continuity of processing, while improving the data quality, and reducing the time spent capturing and checking data.
Ulster Bank
THE CHALLENGE
Capital and RWA (risk weighted assets) are vital measurements for the bank's regulatory and operational requirements. UBS needed a tool to forecast these key parameters, at a business unit level of granularity.
THE SOLUTION
Mitas developed the model to import data, and calculate EAD,PD,LGD and ultimately RWA (risk weighted assets) , and to provide a history for analysis.

The model was delivered on time and within budget, and delivers almost realtime performance, allowing sensitivity analysis to be performed, quickly and efficiently, and providing the business with these key figures on demand
Belfius Bank (part of Dexia bank)
THE CHALLENGE
Belfius required an external resource to manage and support an in house developed, automated spreadsheet, holding details of their trading positions, and vital to their day to day operation

Mitas supports and improves the functionality of a comples RWA excel tool used for day to day trading information, and BI reporting

Commission for Energy Regulation
THE CHALLENGE
CER Required an efficient and secure method to collect analyse and report data from providers of data on a regular basis, with the minimum intervention of CER staff.
THE SOLUTION
Mitas proposed, designed and implemented an automated, Secure FTP, SQL Server backend and a CSV format for data delivery. A linked Access databae allows reporting on results.
THE RESULT
The solution allowed CER to move away from a cumbersome excel tempate, over email, to a secure streamlined online solution, where providers update their data automatically.
Commission for Energy Regulation
THE CHALLENGE
CER needed a better system to organise, track, and report to managers on business strategy, goals and activities, and give ownership to managers securely.
THE SOLUTION
Mitas implemented an access database for data collection, working from Active Directory for security, which generates results to a word document for reporting

The solution reduced the amount of admin work being carried out for this activity, by managers, and provided and easy mechanism for managers and directors to assess progress on all activities easily
